i'm a quote person.

I love using inspirational quotes to help me push through a tough project, or just to use as a pick-me-up.

I also like a good but kind of morbid quote. I feel it's the perfect mix of let's kick some ass and bigger picture.

Anyway, this is a fun little post I've wanted to do for a while. I present: 10 inspiring but slightly-off quotes to keep you moving forward!

2. Happiness is achievable. Just listen to Bertrand Russell:

— bertrand russell

3. You are an incredible woman, even when you think you're not:

5. Creativity is accepting all of yourself:

It’s a very hard thing for all of us to accept ourselves at all the different stages - the horrible side, the wonderful side, the adorable side - and who you are as a grownup. And then to bring what you learned as a child to that grownup: that is the magic of creativity.
— ellen greene

6. When love is terrible but makes you realize that intimate human connection is possible:

Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.

7. When you've got to give the middle finger to your inner critic:

If you hear a voice within you say, ‘You cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced
— vincent van gogh

8. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to be perfect:

Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it

9. Get your die-hard on:

I will be an artist or nothing.
